The August Main and Maxi Kits are ready and shipping to members already on Monday 19th, after this we will be away until Friday 23th and any order placed after today will be shipped this day.

I also take the opportunity to tell that this month is our sweet Revlie’s last month, I want to thank her for all the beautiful inspiration during the last years and I’m sure many of you will miss her as much as I will.  Thanks sweetheart!And here is our Monthly Sketch along with the gorgeous Design Team interpretations, this time I chose a sketch from Page Maps. and I love what the girls have made with it .

I must admit that I’ve hardly used pictures to create a card myself so I gave it a try. In combination with the materials of the July kit (and especially those funny nerdy flag banners) I made 3 cards:

I started with this picture 

and added cardstock, paper, butterflies and text

Or this picture of Tim and his 2 best friends

I changed it into this version

 and pimped it

Also I used this picture of Lotte

 so I could make a birthday card for her.

Let me introduce our newest addition to the Design Team! Mandy has delighted us this month with her gorgeous creations, she has a clean and fresh style which I totally love and I’m sure you will too!!

 Hi! My name is Mandy, 35 years old and I live in a town in the middle of the Netherlands.
Eleven years ago I met my sweet husband on stage during an improvisation theatre play and later decided to turn my theatersports-hobby into a fulltime job and became my own boss. That also meant I needed a new hobby and luckily I came across scrapbooking in 2003, when i was travelling Australia with my husband and read a scrap magazine on the beach. I knew I had to go home quick to dive into this new hobby
Today I still improvise as a mommy of two boys, a fun lovin’ 4 year old and his sweet 9 weeks old brother. Trying to combine this with working part time for my company and attempting to find time to create a layout or a mini book.

When Adriana asked me to join the Scrap-Club design team I was doing happy dances all over my scraproom, what an honor! The kits are wonderful and inspiring and I love finding and sharing inspiration on the web. Let’s have fun!

 Welcome our June Guest Designer Yvonne ! I have been looking to her work already for a long time. I like how she incorporates often more than one picture in her layouts. She has a great eye for layout design and use of embellishments. Many of you probably already know her, she has been published in Creatief met Fotos (Dutch scrapbook  magazine.)

About her:

 Hi, my name is Yvonne van den Berg. I’m 49 years old and I have 2 children: Thomas and Floor.
Thomas is 21 years old and Floor is 18 years old.

I’m a scrap addict since 2003. I love it to use my pictures up in my scraps!  

My favorite scrap size is 8,5 x 11 inches.

On almost every lay-out i use a sewing machine or just a needle and stitches.

I appreciate it that I’ve been asked to be the guest designer of scrap-club. The Maxi Kit that I’ve received is wonderful. Wonderful colors to use in spring and summer scrapping designs!

You gotta love the June Kit! I was like “wow” when I opened the box… Gorgeous, funky colors and lovely goodies and papers to work with! I immediately got to work and whipped out four layouts and a mini! And I have some things left over as well so I can make even more!

This month it’s my turn to present the sketch for you. I created versatile one, where you can decide how many photos to use. I used four photos myself, but look how Petra and Monique interpreted the sketch!

Do you also love the gorgeous borderlines clear stickers from the Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage line in the May kit? Well, let me share this idea with you: I used them to create unique buttons. Simple, but with a great effect and so much fun to do! 

You need some clear buttons.

 Just place the sticker at the backside of the button.

 Cut around the button and you have your own unique embellishment.

For example to decorate a fabric flower. 

 I also made an accent on my happiness layout.

Or you make a lot of different buttons and decorate a card like this:
