THINK OUTSIDE THE (chipboard) BOX

Petra van Osch

This post is about THINKING OUTSIDE THE (chipboard) BOX.  In this inspiring and versatile March kit you’ll also find Buzz & Bloom chipboard and as you can see in the kit ideas gallery they make beautiful flowers on your creations.  But I like to show you how to turn them into a little fish, a closure for a card and hot air balloons!

Do you remember the gone fishing layout I made about my son catching his very first fish?

This is how I made the chipboard fish:

I took a piece of the gorgeous Bo Bunny Persuasion My Sweet paper so I could use the hearts and the leaves for creating a mouth and fins.

To glue the twine on the fish I used Glossy Accents. This works just perfect!

And here’s a little fish.

For  this card I used a Martha Stewart punch to decorate the edges. Fold the cardstock into 3 pieces and use the chipboard flower as a centre piece and a closure.

The decoration was created by using the Tim Holtz Mini Masks, color wash and water-soluble wax pastels.

And also I made this card with some hot air balloons again making use of the shape of the flower leaves.

So what do you create when you think outside the box?

Have fun with this kit!

Enjoy, Petra
