hi girls!i’ve this quick & simple technique for you!! you are gonna use your ribbon like you’ve never before!! finally getting the best out of all those leftover little pieces of ribbon!! that normally end up in the trash right?First, you’ll need pieces of ribbon (small or/and large) and pieces of chipboard. i’ve used flowers & hearts, but you can use ANY shape or form you like!
than just choose the chipboard you want to cover and the pieces of ribbon/fabric you want to use. start laying the ribbon / fabric on the top of the chipboard
just fill it up with the colors you like ;D
just make sure you cover the complete piece of chipboard, and do it ‘royal’ so leave the ribbon / fabric longer than the width is.
now it’s time to get your tacky glue, or whatever glue you like to use for ribbon / fabric. remove the pieces of ribbon / fabric and glue all of your chipboard piece.
glue all the ribbon / fabric on your chipboard and let it DRY. than turn it over so you see the back.
than simply cut around the chipboard form with sharp scissors and tada: a beautiful ribbon / fabric heart :D
ofcourse you can use chipboard, but i also love to use other forms. here i used some leftovers from a kid-craf pack for Ruben (yes, my 1,5 year old toddler LOVES to craft too! ha, lucky me!). so these were perfect to use to draw cars!
simply draw the form, and cut it out…
repeat the same steps: choose ribbon / fabric, glue it on, turn it around, and cut around the edges.
and a cool car for the dude…
like i said: you can use any shape or form. i LOVE flowers.
and than again: glue it on, turn it around and cut around the edges. a cool flower.
and if you want to make it stand out even a little more, simply outline it with a black pen!so, show me what you can come up with using this technique! Make sure you post ‘m in the gallery!love and have a splashing New Year!revlie
