about scraplifting the Designing with Recipe book

Petra van Osch

I already told you that I really, really love the books of Autumn Leaves and thought about a way to show how inspiring these books are.

I decided to lift this wonderful page of the very talented Kelli Crowe, using a paper of the May kit.

Cutting out all the pieces was a lot of work but I like the effect of the frame. And this paper was perfect for this project. For the background I used yellow papers from Elsie and Karen Foster.

Then I added all those cool embellies from the May kit and used my computer for the journaling stripes.

I hope I conviced you with this layout! I’ll use these books for inspiration over and over again!

And an extra tip: when I do a lot of layering on a project (and you know I like that a lot) I make a picture when everything is arranged the way I like it before I start removing all the layers and glue them onto the page. But I must admit: on this layout I made it myself a little bit easier by using staples for the pictures.

Wow cutting that had to be a lot of work!! But I like it! And I like your tip about makig a picture before glueing, never thought about that. Definately gonna do that!

Wow Petra, you did a wonderful scraplifting one!!! And you must have a huge amount of patience by handcutting the paper!!! Love those Autumn Leaves books too; I seem to discover new ideas everytime I read those books again :)
